Anyone with business at Town Hall can now drive right in without fear of falling off the driveway and rolling downhill to land embarrassingly in the middle of Sandisfield Road.

The Town Hall parking lot received a new, smooth coat of asphalt at the end of September. With a bonus.

DPW Superintendent Derek Boomsma asked the contractor, LB Corporation, a family-owned and -operated construction firm in Lee, what could be done about the steep, narrow, pot-holed driveway. LB had an answer.

The driveway is now wider and non-threatening. Old-timers - who put up with the old one all these years - may not like it, but everybody else will.
