Due to a resignation, a Board of Assessors member position is currently available. The term will be until the next election; however, the incumbent individual is eligible to run for the seat for a full term at the next election. As a member of the Board of Assessors, you would be required to complete the Division of Local Services (DLS) 101 course in a timely manner. You will be required to attend meetings at least once a month to approve/deny applications for abatements and exemptions. During the fall you will be required to participate in meetings to set the tax rate and prepare for the tax hearing. You will receive a monthly stipend for your participation on this board.
