Breakfast & Lunch Every kid can get two free meals every school day. The Farmington River Elementary School participates in the state-sponsored program providing universal free meals to all students, ensuring every kid has the nutrition they need for a productive learning day! Students in K-6 have access to a free, nutritious breakfast (8:00-8:45) and lunch daily, often including scratch-made favorites like muffins, meatballs, and soups. Students in our PK/EK class receive lunch, provided they are in school at that time. Breakfast and lunch menus are always available at FRRSD Lunch Menus. Check the School Calendar The 2026-2027 School Calendar was attached to the Midsummer Newsletter. You can also find copies at school offices. The school encourages families to review this calendar carefully when planning vacations and other appointments. Consistent attendance is vital for student success. To put it into perspective, if a student misses just two days of school a month, by the end of the year, that adds up to 20 days missed. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education considers missing 18 days or more in a school year as chronically absent, which can significantly impact a child' s learning and progress. The school staff asks for your cooperation in minimizing absences during instructional days. September Schedule September 7: No School. Labor Day. September 24: Back-to-School Night, 6:00 p.m. at the school. September 30: School Picture Day. Wear your favorite shirt. |
