Every town has a story worth preserving. In Sandisfield, that story lives in our historic Meeting House, old photographs and documents, treasured family memories, and in the people who have called this community home for generations. As the newly elected President of the Sandisfield Historical Society, I am excited to share that we are beginning a new chapter. Together with a dedicated Board of Directors, we are working to reinvigorate the Society and make it a more active, welcoming, and meaningful part of our community. Our vision is to preserve Sandisfield's rich history while creating opportunities for residents and visitors to connect with it through restoration efforts, educational programs and community events. To make that vision a reality, we need your support. Your membership helps preserve our town's history, care for the Meeting House, and strengthen the Historical Society for future generations. Members also enjoy voting privileges, invitations to annual and special meetings, and discounts at Society events. We also welcome your ideas, your stories, and your involvement. Whether you choose to volunteer, share historical materials, attend events, or simply become a member, your participation helps ensure that Sandisfield's unique history continues to be celebrated and preserved. Together, we can honor our past while building a vibrant future for the Sandisfield Historical Society. Applications for membership are available at the Sandisfield Free Library, by emailing us at Sandisfieldhistory@gmail.com , or click here. |
