Did you know that over $5,000 a year is provided by the Commonwealth to provide cultural programming for Sandisfield? Applications are sent in online by organizations or individuals. A committee of local residents that makes up the Sandisfield Cultural Council reviews the applications and awards grants based on the set criteria. You are invited to participate by... Submitting a grant application While we always have more requests than we can fund, good ideas are always welcome. Grant applications will be welcome starting in early September through mid-October. Go to: Local Cultural Council Program. Explore joining the committee The state requires we have a minimum of five residents on the committee to receive this funding. We have people rotating off in upcoming years and are in danger of losing our funding if we don't have a few more people join. We meet two or three times a year and this is a great low-key way to help support our town.
