Latest additions to the library shelves

Adult Fiction

Darkrooms by Rebecca Hannigan, a creepy, imaginative, and moody thriller that explores the rippling effects of a young girl's disappearance in the woods near a small Irish village.

The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stocket, the novel is set in the South in the 1930s. A group of strong, southern women from Oxford, Mississippi, who break the odds during the Depression.

Yesteryear by Cairo Claire Burke. The novel follows Natalie Heller Mills, a modern-day "tradewife" influencer and mother of six, who suddenly wakes up in 1855, forced to live a harsh, pre-industrial life. The story explores themes of social media performance, traditional gender roles, and the contrast between curated online personas and reality, blending dark humor with social commentary.

Whistler by Ann Patchett This is a story about two adults looking back over the choices they made, and the choices that were made for them. It's a story about bravery, memory, the often small yet consequential moments that define our lives.

Land by Maggie O'Farrell, author of Hamnet, In this, her 10th novel, she spins a haunting tale of loss, endurance and renewal. The novel spans generations and explores Ireland's map-making, history and memory.
