While most of us were shoveling snow last winter, a number of construction crews were hard at work at the Arts Center under the watchful eyes of Jerry Herman and Jean Atwater-Williams, project coordinators.

Funded primarily by a generous $116,000 grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council/Facilities and by donations by individuals, the Arts Center was able to construct a storage shed behind and adjoining the building, install a fully-equipped support galley with a range, fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, and cabinetry. This will make it possible to provide more extensive beverages and snacks for galley openings and center celebrations.
