The Town announced a new committee to renew the Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP).

The committee will guide the development of a long-term plan to protect important open space and recreational facilities. Committee members will work with the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission to identify priorities for conservation land, working farms, forests, wildlife habitats, park and recreation areas, trails, and greenways.

The Town hopes for five to nine volunteers to serve on this Committee, which will meet monthly for approximately one year.

Members will provide insight and feedback to ensure the OSRP accurately reflects the needs and interests of the Town. Residents and Board and Committee members interested in land preservation, natural resource conservation, playgrounds, recreation, trail use and development, and endangered species are encouraged to volunteer.
