Family Fun Day
Lots of Fun, and We Met Our New Fire Chief |
by Laurie Seddon Published July 1, 2025 |
Finally, a warm, sunny Saturday just in time for this year's Family Fun Day! We began our day at Looking Glass Gardens with an interactive performance by Laurel Lenski of Intrinsic Movement. During our 3-houir event, the children could wander over to Sunny Rose Farm for $5 pony rides, join us in the gazebo to build and paint birdhouses, get their faces painted by Elizabeth Torsay-Wilson and her daughter, Avelina, and have an al fresco lunch. We closed out the day with a wonderful performance by Terry A La Berry and friends. There was one special surprise, even for us! Our new Sandisfield Fire Chief, Mike Grillo, joined by Shamus Gaherty from the SFD, brought a real fire engine over for the children to explore. Besides providing a lot of fun, it was a great way for Mike to introduce himself to the community. Thank you to Looking Glass Gardens for hosting this event and thank you to everyone who helped or participated. Save the date! Pig Roast, Saturday, September 13, at 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Pavilion. |
