An opportunity is presented again for young artists aged 17 to 26 who live in or attend school in Berkshire County. The prize recognizes and encourages emerging talent across the county. Submissions can be from a range of visual arts, including painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture. The Sandisfield Arts Center of Sandisfield announced the call for art

Up to three artists will be selected as finalists and each will receive $400 in support of their art practice, as well as participation in a group show of their work at the Sandisfield Arts Center in the 2026 Gallery season. Opening for the group show will be on August 16.

The award was established by Adam Manacher and Carol Birnbaum in memory of their son, Daniel Manacher. "Daniel worked on different surfaces, always hand-drawn," said his parents. "He loved interacting with people in their love for art. We hope, with the Daniel Manacher Prize for Young Artists, to inspire other young artists and to assist them as they reach for their dreams."

The deadline for artists to complete and submit applications is Aril 17. There is no application fee. Details of eligibility and application requirements can be found at sandisfieldartscenter.org.
