November 11, from 9:30 until noon, children in grades 1-6 are invited to Flying Cloud Farm in New Marlborough for creative explorations that can include Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The session is led by ceramicist and science educator Jane Burke. Pre-registration is required. Contact Jane at janesburke@gmail.com or text 413-429-6103. Pre-registration (www.tritownhealth.org) is required. The Creation of the Daniel Nimham Sculpture on Saturday, November 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Stockbridge Library. A film screening and talk on Sachem Daniel Nimham, the last official Sachem of the Wappinger People in the Hudson Valley Region of New York. The film features sculptor Michael Keropian narrating the life of Daniel Nimham as he takes the viewer on an informative journey through the complicated and eye-opening process of creating a larger-than-life representational sculpture.
